Connemara Country Lodge, Clifden, Co. Galway

General

The Connemara Country Lodge is located on a 2 acre site - 500 m from the town of Clifden, on the WESTPORT Road, with its own large private car park, and is open all year.
The Georgian style House was built in 1990 purposely for use as a guesthouse. There are 10 large guest bedrooms, all with semi-orthopaedic beds, private bathrooms, television, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The rooms are very bright and tastefully decorated with the guests every comfort in mind. There is a lovely comfortable armchair in each bedroom and plenty of reading lights. Central heating is of course standard.
The Connemara Country Lodge has a very large guest lounge (30 feet in length) with an open fireplace where you can relax in the evenings and meet the host family.

Breakfast

Breakfast is a real treat - as everything here is homemade: breads and scones - ginger and raisin, caraway seed bread, brown bread, currant scones and cheese scones. The Connemara Country Lodge offers a delicious menu which has great varieties of foods to suit every taste, including vegetarians. The host even sings you an Irish ballad during breakfast!

Facilities

Packed lunches can be provided for you if you decide to go walking or cycling or fishing for the day. You can play pitch and putt on the host family's PAR 3 golf course which is located a five minute drive away. If you feel more energetic, why not try out some of the guesthouse’s watersports.
